LUNENBURG HEALTH SERVICE, INC. HONORS LOUIE ALLEN OVERTON

On February 8, 2015, the Board of Directors of the Lunenburg Health Service, Inc. gathered to honor Louie Allen Overton and express its appreciation and gratitude for his many years of service to the organization. Louie’s tenure on the Board began in October 1998. He retired from the Board in January 2015.

Louie served as Chaplain and worked faithfully and tirelessly on the building and grounds committee throughout his entire tenure. Most of the plants and shrubs on the grounds were clippings from Louie’s own garden at his home. He tended them until his health no longer allowed.

Louie was always only a phone call away if there was a need, whether it was a leaking pipe or shoveling snow on the walkways. He is a valued friend of the Health Service and is known throughout the community as a person who has worked unceasingly to further many causes that have benefited the people of Lunenburg County.

Newly elected Board President, Larry Roach, presented Louie with a resolution dated January 26, 2015, expressing the deep appreciation and gratitude of the Board for his untiring commitment of time and expertise to further the mission of the Health Service. Outgoing President, Cal Spencer, presented him with a plaque acknowledging the

indebtedness of the Health Service to him for his faithfulness in providing valuable leadership and support for many years. In words, both articulate and eloquent, Louie expressed his gratitude for having had the opportunity to be part of an organization that seeks to help the people of Lunenburg County in such a caring and compassionate way.
