LUNENBURG HEALTH SERVICE, INC. HONORS DR. E. D. BAUGH, JR. AND DR. LEWIS W. BRIDGFORTH, JR.
On July 18, 2014, current and past members of the Board of Directors of the Lunenburg Health Service, Inc. gathered at the home of Jane Williams Woolard, granddaughter of the founder of the Health Service, to honor Dr. E. D. Baugh, Jr. and Dr. Lewis W. Bridgforth, Jr. who have generously given of their time and expertise to further the mission of the Health Service for a combined total of 105 years. Dr. Baugh’s tenure began January 25, 1957. Dr. Bridgforth’s tenure began July 28, 1966. Also present were current and former staff, as well as members of the Baugh and Bridgforth families.
Dr. Baugh and Dr. Bridgforth were presented with resolutions of the Board thanking each of them for their many contributions. Each was presented with a
plaque which reads “Presented with deep appreciation and gratitude for your untiring commitment of time and expertise to further the mission of the Lunenburg Health Service, Inc., for your guidance, support and leadership as a member of the Board of Directors, and for your compassionate concern for the people of Lunenburg County.”
The Lunenburg Health Service, Inc. is grateful to the Friends of the Health Service who covered all costs in connection with this event. 100% of funds donated to the Health Service are used to support Lunenburg County residents.
