DR. E. D. BAUGH, JR. & DR. LEWIS W. BRIDGFORTH SERVING THE LUNENBURG HEALTH SERVICE, INC. FOR OVER 100 YEARS!
Dr. Dan Baugh and Dr. Lewis Bridgforth have supported and served the Lunenburg Health Service, Inc. with great faithfulness for a combined total of 101 years. These two highly-respected and beloved physicians, ever mindful of the needs of their patients, have generously given of their time and expertise to further the mission of the Health Service to provide free, supportive, compassionate nursing care and education to the people of Lunenburg County.
Dr. Baugh established his medical practice in Kenbridge and opened his office and heart to the people of our community in 1957. His dedication to his patients, along with his homespun humor, has endeared him to three generations. Dr. Baugh began referring patients to the Health Service in 1957 and continued to do so until his retirement in 1999. He has been a member of the board of directors since 1957.
Dr. Bridgforth opened his office in Victoria in 1966. He is known for his keen diagnostic skills and his matter-of-fact way of addressing matters. Dr. Bridgforth began referring patients to the Health Service in 1966 and continued to do so until his retirement in 2008. He has been a member of the board of directors since 1966.
Both Dr. Baugh and Dr. Bridgforth continue to serve as active board members, providing leadership and support. The Lunenburg Health Service acknowledges its indebtedness to these two men for their faithful service and their generous hearts.
